About The
Village
The village is 30 Kms. South east of Cochin.Since there are no industries here, the village is free
from all types of pollution.The main occupation of the
villagers is making ropes with coconut fiber, mat
weaving with leaves of wild-pineapple collecting sand
from river-bed, fishing and farming.
About The
Cruise
The cruise starts from the narrow canals of 4feet in
depth and then it enters to The main river, which is
10-12 feet deep. Since the river originates from high
ranges, it is clean and not salty. The boat passes
through coconut palm groves like a canopy, providing a
cool atmosphere.
Kerala Traditional Lunch
Serving occasionally similar to the food prepared during
Kerala s main festival,ONAM and Hindu marriage functions
.Which is served in banana leaves with different curries
like dhal, pappad, ghee, sambar, rasam, kalan,
buttermilk, avieal, thoran, olan, pachady, kichady, 3
types of pickles and fries(chips), banana, payasam(sweet
pudding) etc. |
